PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
From the Owner's Desk:
I founded VIE in 2007
after 26 years of risk analysis, planning and mitigation design experience
with several firms ranging from a few engineers to many thousands of
engineers. This
experience took me to earthquakes and natural disasters throughout the
United States. I was afforded the privilege of being a designer, project
manager, client representative, research scientist, author, post disaster
volunteer and technical reviewer for projects involving hundreds of
buildings and facilities. Knowing that I have participated in making these
facilities safer and more resilient to earthquakes and other natural or
human caused hazards has been very rewarding.
The purpose of VIE is to carry this experience forward and provide highly efficient risk assessment and risk management services to clients. As a small firm by design, VIE will assist our clients in understanding, managing and mitigating natural and manmade hazards in a cost effective and technically thorough manner. Only after we carefully listen to and understand our clients’ needs, will we offer alternatives to solving problems.
At VIE, risk assessment, risk management consulting, and disaster resistant design are much more than just a job or even a business; these are services we believe in and are privileged to help you with.
