Emergency Response Planning

VIE Consultants provides comprehensive emergency response planning services to both private and government sectors. VIE's goal is to provide plan development and implementation services which prepare users for the target natural or terrorism events in a realistic manner. VIE's on the ground experience in eight major disasters allows us to provide this realism. The goal is to identify and emphasize what is likely to be important, and avoid a common pitfall of using unrealistic scenarios.

VIE personnel are not new to the emergency response training, and have in fact been involved in development of planning documents since the early days of FEMA. Through continued first hand investigations and project execution, our personnel are leaders and innovators. Further, truly effective emergency response plans draw from and build upon the capabilities of the local community. In other words, VIE most often recommends development of emergency response plans which are built "bottom up" not "top down". This approach is important in proper coordination with FEMA in a major disaster response. VIE offers the following services for emergency response planning:

VIE also offers services to enable clients to perform predisaster mitigation in a targeted manner to improve emergency repose capabilities.
